What Parisian Men are Thinking
Friday, July 18, 2008 at 01:36PM Parisians, seen by outsiders, can be quite mysterious in their ways. And I'm not just talking about the women, either. Parisian men can be charming, suave, brilliantly intellectual, gallant, and sexy. They can also be sexist, bewildering close-minded, arrogant, stubborn, and just plain rude. "What is going on in that head of his?!" Well, here's an interesting little peek into the psyche of one Parisian man who dares to speak for them all in the blog: Stuff Parisians Like, from Olivier of O-Château.
Brace yourself for some sweeping Gallic generalizations, exaggerations and -- let's face it -- some hard truths. Why do French men pee on the street? Why do Parisians always flake at the last minute? Why do Parisians whine about living in the greatest city in the world? You'll find his answers to these questions, as well as useful tips ("Don’t bring wine to a “grosse soirée” - that would really be cheap of you.") and phrases to memorize that will make you sound Parisian (well, like a Parisian man, anyway: "Putain, viens, il faut que j’aille pisser"). Entertaining reading, in any case.

sorry, but it's not just in Paris that men pee in Paris, i have seen it everywhere in Europe. true, i have not seen it in the US yet...
by the way, i like the choice of tips you give about Paris (also in the naughty blog section), it's "hors des sentiers battus".
my main complaint about many French men is that they are pitiless, merciless when it comes to what they consider "ugly" women. plus they have an unfortunately rather narrow view of what beauty is, the TV stereotype is unfortunately the reference.
i am French myself; not all men are like that, fortunately and yes, in neighbouring countries, even Italy, men like a broader variety of spectrums when it comes to beauty.
good blog
good continuation
